While I am still waiting for my next out of town trip, let me share with you one of my favorite places here in Dubai (also low-key trying to build up content on the blog haha) Since I moved to Dubai 2 years ago, I haven’t been able to explore much of the UAE. Believe it or not, I haven’t been close to Burj Al Arab. I’ve been around that area but usually just pass by with no opportunity to snap a photo or two. I haven’t tried Desert Safari, visit Miracle Garden, Palm Jumeirah, step inside Burj KhalifaIf you ask me why – I don’t really know the answer. Maybe because of the busy lifestyle that you opt to stay in bed during the weekend instead of going out and exploring places. Also could be the money – I have none. Hahaha
Late quarter of 2016, I enrolled in a short course in photography and as part of our final project, we have to form a group of 5 or 6 and visit a place for a photo walk and share it to the class. Our group opted to see Al Fahidi Historical Neighborhood, commonly known as Bastakiya. It is a historical district in Dubai and a scenic step into the UAE’s past.
Here are a few photos from the photo walk.
Disclaimer: Since this is a group work, I took it upon myself to include some of my groupmates’ photos on this post which I found on our shared folder. Hahaha I just wish I’ve kept in touch with them to properly link credits to their accounts.
Beautiful!
